Right around the time I started my leave, on that Friday, Bryant and Adrienne asked me and the kiddos if we wanted to go to the pumpkin patch with them and Rowyn.
It was a smaller patch with only a few things to do and plenty of places to chill. Which was perfect. Rowyn was thrilled with the animals to see and touch and ALL the sensory things to do- corn, straw, pumpkins. So much to touch and learn as a toddler.
The best thing was a little carriage ride she went on. There were tiny ponies pulling a mini carriage/wagon. Since she was the only one on the ride, the man told her she could sit up front. Her face radiated absolute joy.
The man turned and asked her what her name was and she turns to him, smiles, and says "Horsey!"
It was perfectly chilly and the colors were rich and comforting. It was nice to take it slow.
